Cultural Competence in Christian Spirituality for Psychedelic Providers: A Virtual Master Class
RegisterWho can benefit?
Are you a chaplain, therapist, spiritual counselor, or clergy person? Are you interested in the complex and rich intersection of Christian spirituality, psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy (PAP), and mental health treatment?
This Master Class offers a unique space to learn, reflect, and ask difficult questions about spirituality, trauma, and healing in the psychedelic space while preparing professionals to work competently with clients whose experience is shaped by Christianity.

The Experience
Expert presentations, panel discussions, participant Q&A, and interactive reflection.
Openness to Christian language and ideas is essential, including engagement with spiritual and theological themes like God, Jesus, evil and the sacred. Participants are encouraged to approach the material with intellectual curiosity and emotional sensitivity.

Speakers
Hear from experienced teachers with expertise in Christian ministry, Biblical scholarship and psychedelic medicine as they respectfully consider the profound implications of combining these traditions.
See Speaker BiosWhy is this so needed?
The emerging psychedelic medicine field is doing healing work for suffering clients. But for many Christians, psychedelic treatments feel very foreign. And for many psychedelic therapists, Christian beliefs are equally un-relatable. We need to hear from actual experts on what is called for to really care for this population. We need a useful framework for approaching this work- one that is systematic and understandable.
We need cultural competence when it comes to treating Christians, so we can learn how to fit this work into actual psychedelic therapy practice. Without it, we cannot serve the spiritual or psychological needs of Christian clients. Without it, we may inadvertently do harm.
